Kids & Teens Holiday Care
Welcome to the Masada's Children's centre. Our doors have been open to all children since 2003.
We are a certified holiday care facility catering for kids and teens from 5 years of age. With accreditation through Child Youth and Family and Oscar approval, our service delivery is a professional one where the care of your precious possessions is paramount to us.
Staff are all highly trained through Oscar and continual training and upgrading is part of their employment.
Masada is the only centre where young people with and without special needs come together and achieve their very own abilities through constructed learning and recreational activities. Programmes are age appropriate and tailored to the need of the individual.

Enrolment is important so please ensure this is completed asap to avoid disappointment. Booking for the days must accompany full payment for the duration of the time at the programme and is required to be paid in advance and not daily. The same applies to parents using Carer Support. Wins forms to be signed approved before the programme starts..
Call me direct to confirm booking and payment.
Enrolment Procedure
Booking is essential
Enrolment is accepted upon receiving a completed and signed enrolment forms and management approval. Please inform our staff of any relevant changes to your enrolment details. It is crucial that we have up to date information at all times.
Full payment is required before the beginning of the holiday programme. As we are a non government organization and funding is limited. Receipts will be given on request. Fees are tax deductible.
Please note that fees are non refundable whether your child attends once booked into the programme.
Signing your child in and out
Please sign your child in on arrival and out on departure in the daily roll book. The supervisor will show you where this is. This is for the safety of your child.
Absences
Once our child's name is on the roll, we expect him/her to be at the programme unless we have been notified by the parent/caregiver. Please call the office at 09-576-5229 before 10.00am. If we have not been notified and your child does not arrive we will continue with the programme which may be away from the centre.
Child Safety
The programme has a detailed child protection policy, which includes the reporting of any suspected child abuse to the Department of Child Youth and Family Services. The policy can be viewed at any time on request.
Meals
Please provide a healthy lunch for your child, void of sugary snacks and treats please. This can cause a number of difficulties, as we encourage healthy and nutritious food at our centre. When partaking in trips away, please send along morning tea and lunch. We always welcome donations of biscuits, cakes and fruit at all times.
Behaviour Management
We use behaviour techniques that encourage positive self-esteem development. It is our goal to ensure that children and families experience an environment where they are safe, secure, respected and their dignity is protected. This is done through the use of positive reinforcement and a stimulating and varied programme to enforce against boredom. Every effort will be made to help your child settle into the programme. However, if a child's behaviour is consistently harmful to the other children or staff, parents will be asked to remove him/her from the programme and he or she will be stood down for 24 hours at your cost.
Sick Children
Please do not send along sick children, as we do not have facilities to care for them. If a child becomes ill during programme hours parents will be contacted and asked to collect them. If you have any queries or concerns, the supervisor is always available for you.

Excursions
Parents will be informed before any children are taken on outings. You will be asked to complete a permission slip for all outings undertaken at the start of the holiday programme.
Collecting your Child
If a person arrives to collect your child whose name is not on your enrolment form, then we are obliged (for your child's safety) to keep your child in our care until you have been located for consent. To save embarrassment for all concerned, we would appreciate prior notification from you on this matter.
Emergencies
Our staff is trained to deal with emergencies. In the case of a serious accident involving your child, the staff will contact you and take your child to the nearest medical facility. Any costs incurred will be forwarded to you. In a civil emergency, the staff will remain at the centre until all the children have been collected.
Complaints
The programme has a complaints procedure. If you have any problems please approach the supervisor, coordinator or if necessary, a member of the management committee and they will be happy to assist you with your concerns.
Debtors Liability
We ask that full payments are made in advance or at time of the booking or the week before the programme starts. This ensures us to hire the correct amount of staff required. Should we have difficulty in obtaining payment from you for any costs once service has been delivered, we will hand your account over for collection with an added 20% retrieval costs.
Disclaimer
Our children are often photographed whilst partaking in various activities. These pictures are displayed at the Masada Centre and also used on our web site and in advertising. Should you not wish to have your child photographed for any of the above purposes, please notify me and the necessary document will be then signed by you and filed in your child's folder.
"Your children's safety is of paramount importance to my staff and I and we will ensure that together we will assist you in growing healthy, happy and secure kids."
